You only need a spark.
Losing weight really does require lots of support from so many different areas in a person’s life. I am so thankful for the people in my life that fill this roll. I would love to do the same for all of them and anyone else, for that matter. Of course I celebrate my little wins throughout the journey, but it feels even sweeter when you get to celebrate them with the people closest to you. They help me to realize that what I am doing is not for the faint of heart. The shock and awe that I get from them, almost on a daily basis, now that I have lost almost 30 pounds, makes me realize just how amazing I am doing and that it is inspiring them to make healthy changes as well. It’s hard to light a match to a single log and get it to burn, but put a new log on a raging fire and it quickly lights and makes the fire that much bigger. I feel that fire down deep in my soul. No wonder it is lighting fires in people all around me. When we are together, sparks are flying from one person to the next. As the famous Zumba song goes, “The roof, the roof, the roof is on FIRE! We don’t need no water, let the mother $#@%^ burn!”
